Liz Carren has been involved with art and graphics since 1983 and has worked in many avenues of the profession. She works as a contract designer, as an employee, as a freelancer, and as a dedicated educator as well.
Liz’s background and personal training in art and design goes as far back as she can remember. Growing up in an “arts household” she was naturally encouraged to pursue these talents, painting at a young age with her grandmother or going to museums and events with her immediate family. As a young woman she went to Ithaca Collage, School of Communications, and received a Bachelor of Science in Cinema Studies and Photography. With an appetite for adventure/travel she furthered her studies in London at the London International Film School. After returning to the States she started her own business as an Interior Design Photographer and worked in the Washington DC area for a number of years. Over the next 15 years she perused design as an exhibit designer, an interior planting designer, and a traditional graphic and web designer. The disciplines of these arts add to a broad base of design knowledge to pull from for what ever job she is working on. At present her focus is primarily on digital – whether it be commercial work or personal creations using a mix of computer and camera as her brush.
